Goal Number 27: Send Friends A Care Package - Completed!

I went shopping today before my doctor's appointment, and after wandering around Shaw's for fifteen minutes, I finally settled on four little things to send Alli while she's away at URI.

A Hershey bar, cookies and popcorn. Some little things that she could easily get on her own, but since they're from me, they'll be special-er. The chocolate because it cures any Boy Blues, the cookies and popcorn because it's great.

I'm going to physically send it tomorrow, as by the time I have to go out (as gas is so precious), the post office will be closed.

I just have to write her a little note, and I'll be all set!

Goal Number 98: Subscribe to Glamour Magazine - Completed!

I just placed my order for Glamour, which should be arriving in either November or December. I'm secretly in love with fashion, and Glamour is a great mix of that. guys, dating, etc. I'm excited to get in touch with my fashionista side.

Glamour was the magazine that inspired my recent love of leggings, or as I call them, "socially acceptable sweatpants". The other day, I wore a large flannel-looking shirt from Forever 21 and a pair of black leggings, also from Forever 21. I straightened my hair and did my makeup. I felt hot.

But anyway, Glamour magazine....

My second goal! Complete!

Goal Number 80: Open A Savings Account - Complete!

I opened a savings account today!

I walked into the local bank after my shift at work was (finally!) over. I waited in the line, asked the teller who to talk to, and was directed to a nice older woman named Debbie. She helped me open my account, and bam! I have savings!

Okay, so far it's only fourty bucks, but hey! It's something!

Afterwards, I was so proud of myself that I took the scenic route home, walked my sister's dog, and picked my sister up.

I feel good. :)

Week One: Ready, Set, Go!

Why only two hundred goals? Why not three hundred sixty-five? Make us want to read your blog, damnit!

Look at the scale of some of these goals. Number three, for example, take a cross country road trip. Can I really do that in a day? No! Luckily, some of these other goals are incorportated in it. See Ellis Island and Ground Zero, for example. Number 24, run a half mile. I have no time to do that one day and teach my sister to surf (goal number twenty-two) the next.
Point: 365 goals cannot be completed in 365 days.

This week, I plan to commit to doing three goals:
Goal Number 57: Join a gym.
I'm seriously lacking in the fitness area, and I want to get better. Give me an iPod, a treadmill, an eliptical machine, and a bottle of water and I could very well be a happy girl. I'm not disiplined enough to go on a diet, so I might as well get off my butt and run. Plus, I get nice looks when I'm fit. You know what I'm talking about.

Goal Number 80: Open a savings account.
The benefits of starting to save early on are tremendous. In ten years, I could have over ten grand. Who doesn't want ten grand to fall back on? Plus, with compound interest and what not, by the time I'm at retirement age, I will have a nice little cushion of money when my income gets slashed to bits. Who could complain?

Goal Number 27: Send my friends a care package at college.
Okay, so friends is going to have to be friend, since the only one who needs a care package is Alli. I love Alli and I miss her terribly, and she would appreciate a care package full of candy, cookies, love and condoms the most. The condoms are, of course, a joke, since Alli is a virgin yet still the only person I know who's comfortable to talk about sex with strangers.

Hopefully, by the end of this week, I'll be well on my way to starting this list. You should have seen me last night, two goals away from having it done. My boyfriend, Ben, was next to me watching Pawn Stars on The History Channel, his dad was hootin' and hollerin' about God only knows what, and I just couldn't pay attention to my list. But I finished it, and I'm so ready to begin my year.

Here goes nothing, everyone. Wish me luck.

T - 2

Challenge: Complete 200 goals from List in, or under, 365 Days.

Contender: Me, myself, and I, with some assistance from my family and friends. Come on, no one ever gets anywhere without their loved ones. And the ones that say they do are lying.

Who am I, you ask? My name is Stephanie. Stephanie's it. I have no nicknames. I despise being called Steph or Stephie or Phanie, for Heavens sake. I'm eighteen years old and in my freshman year of (stinkin' community) college. I live on Cape Cod, where you've probably been if you've ever looked at a "World's Best Beaches" calendar. Yes, I have one in my room. Yes, a beach in the next town over is featured in January, among Hawaii and Fiji and Jamaica. My boyfriend and my sister are my very best friends, but you'll quickly learn that I call everyone my best friend. The distinction between family and friends isn't clear with me. I like the color pink. Anything else you need to know, you're just going to have to read on.
